Over the years, Paulist Productions has developed a three-tiered
strategy for doing our work:

Create programs that give our viewers an experience of God's
presence in the human situation. These may talk about Jesus,
say what Jesus said e.g. love your enemies; or more likely,
do what Jesus did - illumine, challenge and motivate.

Maintain a presence for human and Christian values in the
heart of the entertainment industry so as to encourage the
communication of these values through its secular media creations.

Serve as a goad to the policies and practices of the industry
so as to sensitize its members to the spiritual needs of the
viewing public.

We have also developed two principles for deciding what
we will produce:

Gospel density - How powerfully will it communicate to the
audience the experience of God's presence in the human?
|
 |
Apostolic cost effectiveness -- How much money, creative
energy and generosity of our constituency must be expended
to powerfully reach the optimum number of people with the
Gospel?
